Today we discuss the new, ambitious future of ROSE Next and share our release of ROSE Next Classic.
This post is long overdue but while we were quiet on the blog front we've been busy at work on the game! The big highlight this update are a new logo, the addition of costumes, removal of damage cap, a huge list of bug fixes and a few teasers of some things we are experimenting with/working on.
We know we've been quiet for a while but rest assured we've been busy working behind the scenes! The biggest news since our last update is that we have since rented a server and started our internal alpha testing with staff and a small group of testers. We have also been working away on the cleric skill tree, clans, the new website, a launcher and more!
More grinding on the technical work but we're hoping to have a private alpha soon! We've made some more progress on our core gameplay since the last update and our game designers have been experimenting with a new class!
Since our last update we've been undergoing a major database change. While this work is not very exciting from a gameplay perspective it is a big improvement to the code base that will allow us to deliver a better experience down the line. We also share some of our thoughts on how we might change up the cleric class.
Since our introduction post we've been slowly at work on various parts of the project. For the past two weeks we focused on play testing and cleaning up various issues in the code and asset files. In our play testing to we tested the experience from level 1-20 which helped shape some new design discussions. We also began work on our revamp of the Artisan class!
Welcome to ROSE Next! This post will serve as an introduction to the project and an introduction to this development blog. ROSE Next is an ambitious new project to iterate on the classic MMORPG ROSE Online.
